NOTES ON USING ACHE AWAY MAGIC MUD

Mud is a natural conductor of heat because of the ingredients, means that it holds heat and doesn’t allow it to escape.

Care needs to be taken that you cool the horse’s leg with cool water or ice before using a mud poultice.

The more liquid that mud has in its formulation, the better it is for removing heat from the leg. You’ll find Horse N Tale Ache Away Magic Mud is thinner and easier to spread out.

Once mud is dry, brush it off, it is vital that you brush it off. As dry mud stores heat. Horse N Tale recommend brushing it off.

NEVER put bandages over mud as this prevents the action of heat evaporation and prevents cooling i.e. heat can’t escape.
